In Poland, the tools of direct democracy lead nowhere,
that is, to the Polish parliament.

A message from our Professor
Welcome to the Academy of Direct Democracy!
We are truly delighted to welcome you to a community of individuals eager to explore the principles of democratic participation and civic responsibility. Our Academy is a space where, through learning, discussion, and collaboration, we build the foundations of a strong, direct democracy.
The goal of our shared journey is not only to understand theoretical principles but, above all, to shape active citizens who have a real influence on the decision-making processes in their communities.
We believe that every voice matters, and that working together for transparency, equality, and justice is key to building a better society.
At the Academy of Direct Democracy, you will find not only knowledge, but also the inspiration to take action.
We are excited to have you with us on this meaningful path—full of challenges, but also full of possibilities. Together, we can change the world!
We strive to build the foundations of a strong, fair and equal democracy through education and practical engagement in democratic processes, in which every citizen not only knows their rights but also knows how to use them. We believe that true democracy is not just elections every few years, but daily, conscious participation in public life.
OUR GOAL
The Academy of Direct Democracy is a place for those who feel that the world around them could look different—more just, more honest, more our way.
We believe that real change begins with awareness. That's why we've created a unique compendium of knowledge on direct democracy—the only one of its kind in Poland and the world. Without political jargon, without pomposity, but with passion and simple, accessible language.
The Academy combines traditional academic knowledge with the latest educational technologies. Our innovative platform allows you to learn whenever you want, however you want, and wherever you want—without limitations or time pressure. You decide your own learning pace and development path.
With us, you'll learn not only what democracy is, but above all, how to truly influence the decisions that affect your life. At home, at work, or on the road – stress-free, at your own pace, with complete comfort and security guaranteed.
The Academy is:
freedom to learn on your terms,
a community of conscious citizens,
security of reliable sources and credible knowledge,
confidence that your opinion matters.
Because in a world where every day someone else tells you how to live, we give you the tools to start deciding for yourself.
In addition to the course, the following are also available on the Academy website:
comments by Professor Mirosław Matya

OUR GOAL
We strive to build the foundations of a strong, fair and equal democracy through education and practical engagement in democratic processes, in which every citizen not only knows their rights but also knows how to use them. We believe that true democracy is not just elections every few years, but daily, conscious participation in public life.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Academy of Direct Democracy is to educate active, responsible citizens who understand how direct democracy works and can participate in it effectively. Our goal is to support the development of a civil society in which each person has a real influence on decisions that affect their life, community and state.

We are creating a democratic community
Our community is a space for people who want to engage in direct democracy activities and exchange experiences and ideas. In this section you will find:
Forum
A place for discussion, exchange of views and asking questions. The forum is a space where members can share their experiences of democratic processes, ask questions to experts and organize discussions on topics related to the practice of direct democracy.
Discussion groups
Thematic groups that allow for in-depth discussion on selected topics, such as referenda, citizens' initiatives or possibilities for political reform in different countries. Each group aims to enable more detailed conversation in narrower circles of interested people.
Professor Matyja comments
Just ask society…
Grassroots democracy in Poland is a sham
Freedom of self-determination is the foundation of democracy
